Al Cole is the classic old Aussie whinger. Sitting on his fat arse complaining about everything he sees.
Everyone knows a guy like this and this is my most popular film by far. I made a set of replacement jaws for him with about seven different mouth positions these were held in place by magnets. Vaseline played a big part in this film too, the sweat, the pus, the spit. I used some extreme close-ups to convey the gross character.

 

 

Swimming Outside the Flags-1999 SBSi

Is a collection of animated shorts commissioned by SBSindependent and first screened in 1999. The brief was to submit scripts with a particularly aussie flavour. "Swimming Outside the Flags"along with "Home Movies" present a good selection of Australian animation from this period. I was honoured to have work commissioned for both series.
