History

In this section of the site can be found examples of my animation work from the last 25 years or so.
See the left menu.
Sadly much early work and experiments on film are lost for all time. We have seen so much change in the technology and formats for the making and delivery of animation over the last decades, archiving is a constant update process. I am very grateful to Sam Briggs of Adelaide, a dedicated young fan and historian of Austraian animation, for many of the videos here. Visit his channel at youtube.

Various productions.

Over the years I have had the pleasure of contributing to some fabulous animation projects and working with some amazingly talented folk.

Stop motion was a rather narrow career path and not many of us chose it. Most of us in the field, on the east coast, were personally aquainted. We would sometimes be competing for funding or jobs then hiring eachother to do them.

By the turn of the century CGI had taken over all facets of the industry. It even took our name of '3d animators'. Now all the paint, the lights, the clay, the rigging, the wire, the blutac, the props, the feathers, the foliage, the tiny tools of trade, the touch, the magic was all replaced by a mouse on a desk. No thanks!

Of course the craft survives and with the ease of capture available with computers many people can experience the joys of stop motion today.
This section of the site I intend to build on as various old productions can be discovered and posted here with comments or simply linked to.
